Ferris State University has announced the Bulldogs' first-ever "Dawgs After Dark" event will take place on Oct. 27 at Jim Wink Arena.
The event, which is sponsored by Campus Communities, will have a midnight madness type feel and highlight the Bulldog men's and women's basketball squads as they get ready to hit the floor for the upcoming 2023-24 campaign.
All FSU students are encouraged to attend the evening event with free food and shirts to be distributed along with an opportunity to win prizes and watch both Bulldog squads hit the floor.
Students are encouraged to arrive early for food and the doors will open to Wink Arena at 7:45 p.m. (ET) with the event starting at 8 p.m. Bulldog students will be selected to compete in a uniform relay race, three-point shoot out and half-court shot competition before the Ferris State men's and women's squads are introduced.
After the Bulldog Basketball squads are introduced, the players will compete in a co-ed three-point contest followed by a dunk contest and short scrimmages for both teams.
The event is free and open to both FSU students and the general public.
Both Ferris State squads have high expectations entering the 2023-24 season with the return of nearly every student-athlete from a year ago.
