Retired Senior Volunteer Program for Mecosta, Osceola, and Lake Counties introduces Camp 911 (Safe Senior Day) in Mecosta County, a one day, hands-on learning and safety experiences for senior citizens, free of charge. Camp 911 will provide senior citizens with readiness training for a variety of incidents of emergencies.

Scheduled workshops include distaster/evacuation preparedness, ID theft/home security, fire safety, EMS involving medical response and treatment.

Camp 911 is scheduled for July 17 at the Big Rapids Department of Public Safety: 435 N. Michigan Ave, at 9 AM. Registration is at 8:30 AM, and ends at 3:45 PM. Morning snack and lunch provided.
