RACE OPTIONS:  5k Run/Walk, 1 Mile Run/Walk & Kids Fun Dash

 

LOCATION & COURSE:   All races begin at the Chippewa Lake Millet Park.  5k run will follow around the lake.

 

RACE DATE/START TIME:  Saturday, July 7, 2018 - 8:30 a.m.

 

EVENTS:  ~8:30 a.m. - 5k run/walk - 20 per person/late registration &25 per person, kids under 8 free

                 ~8:40 a.m. - 1 mile run/walk - $10 per person

                 ~9:15 a.m. - Kid's Fun Dash - 8 & under - Free

                 ~9:30 a.m. Award Ceremony

Times are approximate and will be adjusted as needed

 

REGISTRATION: Register by mail by June 23rd, 2018 or online at Eventbrite by June 30, 2018.  All participants registered before the deadlines will receive a drawstring backpack.  If registering late, drawstring backpacks will be available only as supplies last.

 

Packet pickup and late registration:  Friday, July 6, 2018; 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

 

Awards:  Awards immediately following the 5k run/walk.  Trophy for overall 5k male & female.  A medal for first place male and female 5k age groups and a medal for overall 1-mile first place male and female.  Prize awarded for best dressed Red/White/Blue theme.  In addition, a prize to all participants in the Kid's Fun Dash.

Sponsorship:  All proceeds from this event go to the annual Chippewa Lakes Fireworks.  Any businesses interested in sponsoring this event and that donates at least $100 will have a sponsor sign that will be displayed along the route.  If interested, contact event organizer Kim Wilber at (231)-629-0255.
