Free Cancer Screenings

Free screenings are available to adults age 64 or under who do not have health insurance or coverage for screenings, and who have not had a cancer screening in at least one year.

One Day Only: Friday, October 13, 2017

Screenings for Women include:

Skin Cancer Screening
Colorectal Screening
Screening mammogram
Pelvic exam with Pap smear

Screenings for Men include:

Skin Cancer Screening
Colorectal Screening
Prostate Screening

Free Screenings are by appointment only.

Community Play Groups

From 9:30AM to 11:00AM

Play Groups are offered free of charge to children birth-5 and their parents who reside with-in the Mecosta Osceola Intermediate School District Area. Beginning the week of September 4th through the end of the 2017-18 school year.

*With exceptions to holidays and weather related school closings*

*Please check your local TV and Radio Station for school closings. If the local district is canceled, so is playgroup!*

Making Healthy Eating Easier

From 11:00AM to 1:00PM

Promoting a healthier community with better access to healthy eating.

Healthy Eating Demos: Join us at the farmer's market Fridays from 11 am to 1 pm between June 16th and October 13th, as we teach you how to cook up tasty dishes with fresh items from your local farms.
Complimentary Transportation: Need a ride to the farmers market? We'll pick you up! We've partnered with the City of Big Rapids and Dial-A-Ride to cover your fare to and from the market.
Free Blood Pressure Checks: Metron of Big Rapids will be onsite to measure your blood pressure.
