Open House/ Pig Roast

The Mecosta County Commission on Aging and Senior Center is holding an Open House on September 16, 2017, from Noon to 6 pm. The Commission on Aging Assists seniors 60 and over in remaining independent and in their own homes. This Open House is an opportunity to show the community what the Commission on Aging is all about! All Caregivers and families are welcome! Stop by and enjoy a free Pig Roast, face painting, silent auction, music and a tour of the building this Saturday from 12-6 pm! Hope to see you there!

MSP Citizens' Academy
From 6:30PM to 9:00PM
The Michigan State Police (MSP) Mt. Pleasant Post is pleased to announce a Citizens' Academy, which will start September 7th, 2017, and end October 26, 2017. The eight-week academy will give citizens the opportunity to become familiar with the mission and operation of the MSP, understand the procedures troopers follow, increase their awareness of law enforcement's role in the community, and get to know personnel at the Mt. Pleasant Post.
The eight-week academy will meet at the Morton Township Fire Hall, 8260 100th Ave., Stanwood, MI. 49346, on Thursday evenings from 6:30 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. A graduation ceremony will be held on October 26th, 2017.
