The 2017 Newaygo County Agricultural Fair Program is occurring Saturday, August 5th until Friday, August 11th!
Come check out the some of the animals as well as the Granstand Main Events; one each night.

Making Healthy Eating Easier

Promoting a healthier community with better access to healthy eating.
- Healthy Eating Demos: Join us at the farmer's market Fridays from 11 am to 1 pm between June 16th and October 13th, as we teach you how to cook up tasty dishes with fresh items from your local farms.
- Complimentary Transportation: Need a ride to the farmers market? We'll pick you up! We've partnered with the City of Big Rapids and Dial-A-Ride to cover your fare to and from the market.
- Free Blood Pressure Checks: Metron of Big Rapids will be onsite to measure your blood pressure.

"Share the Harvest" Dinner to Benefit Manna Pantry

Manna Pantry of Big Rapids will hold its first annual “Share the Harvest” benefit dinner on Friday, August 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the heart of downtown Big Rapids on Michigan Avenue north of Maple Street. The Pantry is partnering with the Downtown Big Rapids Farmers Market, area farmers and local chefs to celebrate the harvest season with a "farm to table" feast. Attendees will enjoy the best our community has to offer in locally grown and prepared foods, and the Big Rapids-based Key West Permafrost Blues Band will provide live entertainment. Tickets can be purchased for $50 each starting July 1 from Manna Pantry board members, the Old Pioneer Store and Emporium, Three Girls Bakery, Patterson’s Flowers, and Currie’s Gas Station. Only 150 tickets will be sold. All proceeds will be used to feed the hungry in Mecosta and Osceola counties. Last year, Pantry donors provided emergency food for 4,045 adults and 1,741 children.
