The Exhibition will run through July 29th!!
Watercolorists from around the state enter their paintings to be juried for awards and to become part of the traveling exhibit. Their varied work is very high quality and breathtaking. Our own Artworks artist, Cheryl Gould, has a painting included in the exhibit.

July is blood month and it means donating blood is a priority to saving lives. Every two seconds, someone in the US needs blood. By donating one pint of blood, three lives can be saved. Registering is easy and it's simple, the actual donation of blood only takes 10-12 minutes. Contact the Red Cross and donate today. The more you donate the more you save lives!
30th Annual Old Timers Sports Hall of Fame Game

The 30th annual Old Timers/Mecosta County Area Sports Hall of Fame Game will start at 6:30 on Monday, July 3rd at Hemlock Park in Big Rapids!!
The Old Timers (over 40 except for the lady pitchers) will play the Big Rapids High School Boys Baseball Team. The Old Timers pitch fast pitch and the High School slow pitches. What adds a little excitement to the game is, being that there are not many Old Timers that can fast pitch anymore, we invite area High School softball pitchers to pitch for the Old Timers. It makes for a fun and entertaining game and evening.
There will also be new inductees for the 2017 Class of the Mecosta County Area Sports Hall of Fame!
