Come to Evart Floral Botique's Kiddies Christmas Corner to celebrate Christmas cheer!

 

There will be live Christmas Dulcimer Music, free Balloon's, free Chirstmas Cookie Decorating and Christmas Ornaments.

30th Annual Cookie Walk will take place at St. Andrew's Parish House located at 232 S. State Street, Big Rapids.

 

There will be thousands of home baked cookies. 

This event is open to the public and cost $7.00 for a small box of goodies and $13.00 for a large box.

There also will be American made Rada cutlery and Kitchenette brand corn brooms avaliable for purchase. 

 

This event will last until there are only crumbs left, so make sure you get there early to buy the best home baked cookies!

Saturday, December 3rd 2016 the Mecosta County Commission on Aging & Senior Center will be holding their 13th Annual Bowl-A-Thon for Medical Transportation at the Remus Bowling Center, 356 W. Wheatland Ave., Remus, MI 49340.

 

The money raised from the Bowl-A-Thon is used to off-set the cost of transporting Mecosta County senior citizens who cannot drive to their medical appointments. 

 

Our goal this year is to raise $10,000. Our bowlers are individuals and business employees who set aside their Saturdays to help with the Medical Transportation's only annual fundraiser. 

 

How can you help?

1. Sponsor a team for $250.00
2. Make a monetary donation for any amount
3. Donate an item or service for the drawings we hold for the bowlers

From 4:00PM to 5:30PM

The Barryton Senior Center at 71 Northern Avenue, Barryton, Michigan will be hosting a comforting Old Fashioned Christmas Dinner. 

 

Dinner Menu:

Turkey, Ham, Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Corn, Green Beans, and Rolls.

 

Dessert will be served in the pavilion at Central Park along with a bon fire and Christmas Carols. 

 

Dinner is provided to the public for FREE donations are welcome but NOT REQUIRED. All donations received will be given to the Barryton Senior Center.

Parade - 4:00pm; Parade Route (Angel Avenue to Stern to Northern Avenue to Isabella Bank)

 

Santa Claus Arrives at the Library - 4:00pm; Kids crafts and pictures with Santa at the Library. You can bring your own camera or let us take pictures for you ($1.00/picutre suggested donation) Pictures can be picked up on Tuesday at the Library.

 

Community Dinner - Served 4:00pm-5:45pm...Dessert at our Christmas Tree Lighting. 

 

Lighting of the Village Christmas Tree - Community Christmas Carol (6:00pm in front of the Museum near Central Park) Caroling booklets will be provided. Bring a flashlight to light up your booklet. Refreshments and hot drinks will be provided following the Christmas carol singing as well.
