Special Olympics Summer Games
From 6:30PM to 9:30PM
2010 State Summer Games. Central Michigan University Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Events offered: aquatics, athletics, bocce, bowling, gymnastics, horseshoes, volleyball and more. Volunteers and sponsors are needed for all three days. Please call 800-644-6404.
Big Rapids Rock, Gem & Mineral Club Sale & Swap
From 7:00PM to 8:55PM
At our next meeting on June 3rd (7:00pm in the Geology Lab (Room #138), Science Bldg., at Ferris State University) we will have our first Club Sale and Swap. All Club supplies, rocks, minerals, fossils and magazines will be for sale. All proceeds from the sale of these items will go to the Big Rapids Rock, Gem & Mineral Club. Cash sales only. Any Club member may bring items to sell or trade for their own profit. There is no admission and the public is invited to attend. Spread the word an tell your friends, relatives and neighbors! There will be a 45 minute video from the History Channel's How The Earth Was Made Series titled "The Great Lakes" during the meeting.
