Mecosta County Habitat For Humanity Golf Benefit

From 10:30AM to 6:00PM

The Mecosta County Habitat For Humanity is holding a Golf Benefit Wednesday June 24th at the Royal Golf Course in Canadian Lakes. Register a team or an individual entry fee is $80 per player which includes golf with cart, dinner and donation and tee gift. A sponsorship for tees signs is $50 and the event patron signs are $25. 10:30 is registration with an 11:30 shotgun start and a 5:00 Dinner/Awards. NUSC Travel Soccer Tryouts

From 5:30PM to 6:30PM

The Northland United Soccer Club (NUSC) is hosting select (travel) team tryouts on Wednesday, June 24 from 6:00pm at the Big Rapids Industrial Soccer Field, which is located at the corner of Catherine and Baldwin ( across the street from the Wolverine World Wide). NUSC is looking to build boys and girls teams in the U10, U12, U14 (full year) and high school (single season) age brackets. Interested players should bring soccer shoes, shin guards, ball and water bottle. Do not wear a club jersey. Registration forms will be available on site or you may download in advance from the club website: www.northlandunited.org. A birth certificate copy is required for players new to the travel program. If you have any question, or are unable to attend the try-out session, contact Pete Balanda at 231-796-9460, balandap@ferris.edu. Registration for the 2009-2010 co-ed recreational leagues will remain open until July 16, 2009. On-site registration is open during the travel team tryouts on June 24 from 5:30pm to 6:30 pm. NUSC provides local, recreational play for boys and girls ages 5 to 13 (age on July 1, 2009).
